Business Product Specialist for Instagram Ads and Shopping

In college, I was lucky enough to have two internships at Facebook, which served as a big jumping point for me both professionally and personally. These internships allowed me to have a voice and be actively involved in projects as if I were any other full-time, experienced team member.

When I was in high school, I didn’t have any exposure to the tech industry until my parents handed me a copy of TIME magazine with Mark Zuckerberg on the cover. The story inspired me to pursue a career in tech, because I saw how I could use technology to help build a community and connect people together.

In college, I was lucky enough to have two internships at Facebook, which served as a big jumping point for me both professionally and personally. When I was a marketing strategy intern for Facebook’s Employee Referrals Program, I helped develop the brand and marketing strategy and built the internal landing page. As a videos product specialist intern, I worked closely with data scientists, product managers and engineers to improve the mobile data usage for videos across the globe.

These internships allowed me to have a voice and be actively involved in projects as if I were any other full-time, experienced team member.

In addition to the incredible experience I gained in my internships, I also built valuable relationships with people. I was able to create friendships and find support through the other interns in my program who were from different schools and diverse backgrounds. I also had talented mentors and managers who were committed to helping me grow and achieve my goals. There was no question that I wanted to return to Facebook once I graduated.
